Aloha from beautiful Hawaii! I had a wonderful time teaching at the last Quilt Hawaii held on the beautiful island of Kaui.
Students came from everywhere: Alabama, Arizona, California, New York, Washington, Hawaii -- even Canada! The lady from Canada has a husband who loves to golf. He gets on the internet and finds something fun for his wife to do while he golfs -- so she joined us at Quilt Hawaii and he golfed each day. SMART husband! She's been to wonderful quilting conferences and classes all over the world and he's enjoyed some great golf courses. I think that is a win-win.
I enjoyed sharing the joy of working with all of Superior Threads' wonderful threads with the group. We made projects using Texture Magic, fusible thread, and Soft and Stable, played with decorative stitches and fun threads, and just had a great time enjoying each other's company.
Thank you to Faye and Ellen for many years of great Quilt Hawaii classes and shows and to all of the wonderful students I have met over the years. Let's start planning a Quilt Hawaii class reunion!
Here are a few photos from the trip.
