Handmade for the Holidays: Daytripper 2.0 Crossbody Case

Handmade for the Holidays

Today we're featuring a purse that's reserved, yet bold.

Its simple lines make it perfect for featuring a special focus fabric.

And, because this project does not involve quilting the Soft and Stable to the fabric, it's quick and easy to make.

Here is Daytripper 2.0

Simple and secure, this handy padded case is perfect for carrying an iPad, tablet, or other electronic gear.

An easy-to-install zipper at the top affords easy access while still providing protection for your valuable items.

A padded zippered pocket on the front of the case holds cords and chargers.

Inside is a slip pocket for a cell phone or other items.

Carry the case over the shoulder or cross-body with the adjustable strap.

The finished case measures 11”W x 11½”H x 2”D.

This pattern is easy to make, but leaves you feeling accomplished.

This pattern is essentially the same as the original Daytripper Crossbody Case EXCEPT that this pattern gives more detailed instructions about how to align the fabric pieces if using a large-scale focus fabric. Daytripper 2.0 is also designed to use a main fabric, lining fabric, and contrasting fabric, so fabric requirements are different than those for Daytripper which features just one main fabric.
