Starr Fire and Starr Totes

I've just finished two new patterns and can't wait to share them with you. Both patterns were designed specifically for use with Starr Design Fabrics' awesome hand-dyed fabrics.

Starr Fire is a 68-1/2" x 88" quilt that is made using Starr's Starr Fire fabric pack of 20 fat quarters in vibrant, graduated colors. By using the fabrics in the order in which they are stacked in the fabric pack, you will get a beautiful effect of graduated color. Use the coordinating fabric yardage for the centers of the blocks, the sashing, outer borders, and binding.

Blocks are made by strip-piecing fabrics and then cutting into wedges using a special plastic template which is included in the pattern. You won't believe how quickly and easily this quilt goes together!

You can order a kit that contains all the beautiful, vibrant hand-dyed fabrics for the quilt top, along with the pattern and special plastic template. Regular price for this kit is $156.95. I'm happy to offer a SPECIAL PRICE of just $149.95 plus shipping. Click here to order online or to print an order form for mailing.

Starr Totes are also made with Starr Design Fabrics' beautiful hand-dyes. The 13"W x 12"H x 4"D tote has two outer pockets and an easy-to-install optional zippered closure.

The pattern feature two styles of borders. Folded fabric inserts give dimension to the Starrs & Stripes border. Full-size paper piecing patterns are included for the Starrs & Spikes border.

Moveable inner pockets enable you to keep your tote organized and to change your handbag in seconds. Load the pockets and insert them in your tote. When it's time to change bags, just lift out the pockets, put them in your new bag, and you are ready to go!

The Starr Fire quilt and Starr Totes will be on display at the International Quilt Festival in Rosemont, Illinois next week. Please stop by the Superior Threads or Starr Design Fabrics booths to see them and to say hello! Or, click here to order online or to print an order form for mailing.

Happy stitching!
