June Block of the Month and Pattern for Assembling BOM Quilts

The FREE block of the month for June has been posted. The whimsical sailboat can be appliqued using the method of your choice: hand, fusible, mock needle-turn, or machine. Add some waves and embellishments of your choice and enjoy some smooth sailing over the summer!

After numerous requests for a pattern for the quilts using the free block of the month patterns, I am happy to annouce that Simple Things is available.

Perhaps you have a year's worth of blocks from another block of the month program. Maybe you still haven't put together that pile of sampler blocks you made in a class. Or maybe you've fallen in love with my block of the month patterns and want to make a quilt "just like the one on the website."
Whatever the source of your blocks, you're sure to enjoy this easy-to-follow pattern which includes complete instructions for assembling a wall hanging or throw in two versions using ANY 9" blocks. Read more about it at my website:

In other news, I will be setting sail for points north in about a week. My daughter will be graduating from UW Law School on Father's Day (won't that be a wonderful gift for her dad!) and we'll be heading north to Alaska shortly thereafter.

The best way to contact me will be by email, with orders sent through PayPal. If you prefer to order by mail, please use the temporary address shown on the website.

I'll be attending the International Quilt Festival in Long Beach in late July as well as the Pacific Northwest Quilt Show in Seattle in August. If you are at either show, please stop by the Superior Threads booth to say hello.

Happy stitching!
